Modern Man

One of my favorite things, is to observe human nature. As a male, I believe that most men are still living under false, and out dated beliefs of what it takes to be a ‘real man’. Personally I think most men are doing it wrong. I believe that a “Modern Man” should be less aggressive, more caring and polite. We should be better partners, lovers and parents. A “Modern Man” should be more cultured and sophisticated. A “Modern Man” should be able to cry at a movie, know how to cook a gourmet meal and pick a good wine, without a twist off top. A “Modern Man” should be able to decorate a home without girly or sports posters thumb tacked to the walls. A “Modern Man” should be able to go to an art opening or the theater without sneaking in beer or text messaging his pals. A “Modern Man” should be strong, sensitive, and have a basic understanding of manners, etiquette, and decorum. A “Modern Man” should know how to buy suits and shoes with out going to a mall. The list of what a “Modern Man” should know is endless.
I believe I am, a “Modern Man”. I’m in a loving relationship. I’m a caring parent. I can cook, paint, play golf, poker, can change a diaper and a tire(not at the same time). I’m educated and street smart. I enjoy a good wine but also a quick pint in a pub. I like escargot and cheese burgers. I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends. I’m equally comfortable in a five star resort or at a camp ground in a tent. I’m concerned that humanity is on the wrong path and we need to change a few of our behavioral issues. I believe that a “Modern Man’ can realize and admit when he’s wrong, then change his mind and behavior without giving up his dignity, pride or “manhood” but also know when to stick to his guns. I believe I am a person that can share my views on Modern Men and help make all men and mankind better.
