If you could go anywhere at no cost, where would you go?
Paris, to do some museum hopping?
Mars, to take a ride on the spaceship?
Back in time, to witness history?
Give this seemingly silly question some serious thought today — nothing will ignite your creativity quite as much as limitless possibilities.
This is a day to believe that anything is possible, because who knows? Maybe it is!
Thinking positively is never a bad use of your time.

“The purchase of contemporary art in periods of economic uncertainty represents a logical fulfillment of men’s deep need to preserve a sense of stability. In the absence of consistent monetary value, what could be more reassuring than to play for very different stakes—human intelligence and the destiny of a cultural production that is being created before our very eyes….So that money becomes linked, not to some arbitrary standard like gold or the dollar…but to another human activity which implies a level of sensibility and high intelligence both functional and concrete.”Pierre Restany

What has happened to our revolutionary spirit in this country? All it took was a greedy king and word of new tax on our beloved tea and by God the 2nd amendment was born. Let’s pick up our guns and blast those greedy bastards back to the hell they crawled out from!Today, we are being raped with out remorse from practically the entire top 10 percent. Politicians are corrupt and on the take from lobbyist and big business. Bankers and stockbrokers are living the lives of Greek Gods on our money. Athletes and actors are cashing in on 20 to 100 million-dollar deals for playing games. All while the rest of us lower 90 percent are paying the bills. Now the entire world seems to be screwed thanks to this upper crust global corruption and what are we doing? We are letting our government give all of these same people billions of dollars to bail them out because they ran their companies into the ground.WTF?I had not really given any of this crisis much thought until recently. I was thinking that it really had not had an impact on my life. Well, indirectly it has had a huge impact on my life and family. We work in the world of fine art. A few years ago, after more than 20 years in the industry, we decided to go it on our own. It should have been a great place to make a decent living and not have to stress. It should have been. But then the housing market crashed. Then banks started going under. People started getting let go. The stock market crashed. More layoffs. The people like Bernie Madoff started being caught. He was the biggest but not the only one by far. Now the states are in trouble, the government is trouble and it has rippled around the globe. The Joys of a global economy right? We didn’t have our money in any of these places so we naively thought we would be alright.Turns out that all of the people that were being hit the hardest by all of this corruption, greed, and scandal were the very people that kept us in business. Client after client have had stories of their losses. Thanks to the banks, stocks and Madoff’s of the world. In directly, it managed to wipe us out. We lost our business. Had to move for new jobs. Lost the new jobs as well thanks to cut backs. Lost our insurance. Retirement plans. Almost everything. The hand full of people that caused this world crisis? Well, a lot of them got multi-million dollar bonuses. Million dollar retirements. While company after company has removed huge chunk s of their work force or gone out of business. What’s been done to those greed selfish thugs? Nothing. So far I don’t know of anyone that’s even been reprimanded yet, let alone drug out into the streets and lynched. Which is what should have happened to them. It’s what would have happened to them a couple hundred years ago anyway.Where is the public outrage? Where is the demand for action? Where is the cry for justice? Justice is not only blind, she’s deaf.Which leads me back to my question. What happened to our revolutionary spirit? Why haven’t we taken to the street to demand justice and restitution? It’s us, the worker of this country that keeps it going. That keeps it great. We are the ones that have been left to pick up the pieces and pay the bills so a few, can play and live lavish lives of luxury with our blood, sweat and tears. Now that a great many of us have been left with nothing but our own bodily fluids, what’s next? What else will they try and take from us. Because as long as we let ourselves be taken advantage of, someone will take that advantage. What is it going to take for us to stand up and say, ” No More!” Now lets grab a rope, and find a nice tree right out side of the multi-million dollar penthouse, across from Central Park, that Bernie is living in, and have our selves a good old fashioned lichin’.Maybe it’s just me.
